Members of the DFW HWA and extended family will be at ConDFW in Dallas February 20-22, 2009 for what looks to be a damn fine event. Guests include David Weber, Jim Butcher, Angeline Hawkes, C. Dean Andersson, Nina Romberg (a.k.a. Jane Archer), Christopher Fulbright, Gabrielle Faust, Lillian Stewart Carl, P.N. Elrod, Rachel Caine, hopefully Charlee Jacob, and more to come closer to the event, I'm sure.

This is a note for those of you who will be at ConDFW in two weeks. I have scheduled a DFW HWA late-lunch meeting for 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 21. Any later and we will have scheduling conflicts for those on panels; any earlier and I may not be able to make it as I have to take a final exam that morning before going to the convention.

So, just to be clear:

DFW HWA Meeting
ConDFW VIII
Saturday, Feb. 21
3:00 p.m.

Let's meet in front of the hotel restaurant entrance at the rendezvous time. I'm going to see if there are any decent restaurants around, since I wasn't impressed with the food at the last Crown Plaza. We should be okay, there's lots of stuff in that area. Let's plan on meeting up, then going out.
